Help students succeed in junior high, high school and get into college; Jett Educational Consulting http://www,jetted.io is looking for tutors to assist students in San Carlos, CA . We work with middle school and high school students one-on-one to help them master subjects and with test prep. In addition, we work with students to develop excellent organizational skills, study habits and time management skills. Tutors will need to be able to help students with various subjects and also with study habits. We offer flexible hours and competitive pay.
We meet with students in our San Carlos office location or their homes.
Responsibilities:
• Meet with students on a regular (weekly) basis
• Provide students with academic tutoring in test prep, math and writing as needed
• Provide support with study skills including time management, organization and note taking
• Provide encouragement and positive feedback
• Provide homework support ensuring students understand material and key concepts
Necessary Qualifications, Skills and Attributes:
• Undergraduate degree from a selective college with demonstrated success
• Outstanding SAT scores and/or proven mastery of high school level AP subjects
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Warm and friendly personality
• Must be able to relate to teenagers
• Sense of humor
• Excellent note taking, organization, and time management skills
• Experience teaching, tutoring or working with teens
• Must be reliable and able to commit to regular meeting times
