Marianne established Jett Ed over 8 years ago to help students succeed academically, achieve personal goals, and find balance in their lives as they navigate the challenges of the college application process.
Her college counseling approach emphasizes helping students identify their goals and objectives, discover the right college fit, and showcase their unique strengths. Marianne understands that every student brings an individual mix of personality, interests, talents, and accomplishments, and she works to highlight these qualities in the application process.
Before founding Jett Ed, Marianne worked in marketing and business development at several Bay Area tech companies. Through collaborating with clients and developing strategies across industries, she honed her ability to work with diverse stakeholders, build trust, and ask the right questions, skills that now help families navigate high school with confidence. With her strong analytical mindset, Marianne creates structured, personalized plans that empower students to manage their workload, stay organized, and thrive both inside and outside the classroom.
As an engaged community member, Marianne has served on the boards of both the Sequoia and San Carlos Education Foundations, volunteered as a Healthy Cities tutor, and participated as an Art in Action docent. She also chaired the Penn Alumni Interview Committee for the Bay Area for several years, supporting prospective students through the admissions process.
Originally from Los Angeles, Marianne attended Phillips Academy in Andover, MA, before graduating from the University of Pennsylvania with a BA in History, where she captained the women’s crew team. Her experience as a Division I athlete, combined with her East Coast education, has allowed her to visit and connect with a wide range of college campuses across the U.S., giving her valuable perspective to share with students and families.
